2014 Free PCV 13 Vaccination Program

The Pfizer Corporated will donate 200 pneumococcal vaccines(13-valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine) to the Patients' Mutual Help Organizations(APMHO). The detail are as follow:

By combining the new carrier protein, the vaccine can help producing stronger anti-body and stimulate the immunological memory to provide a long-lasting protection.

* Patients who meet the following condition are suitable to get vaccinated:
   - Age over 50; and
   - Never given 13-valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine; and
   - Were given more than 5 years after 23-calent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine
^ Patients who meet any of the following condictions are unsuitable to use the vaccine:
   - you should pospone the vaccination if you have fever or serve cold; or
   - were given not more than 5 years(2008 - 2013) after 23-calent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine; or
   - pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding

Places are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.(In case of any dispute arising from the Programme, the decision of HKAS shall be final.)
